So many times I hear people say, I will pray for you.
Or I will keep you in my prayers.

Are you actually praying for others or just saying it.
See a lot of times it can inisently slip our minds,
Things come up and we just forget.

How much easier is it to just pray right then and there.
It also shows that we really are there for one another, why do we wait to pray ?

Let's stop sayin, and start prayin !!!!

How can the church be the church without the presence of the Holy Spirit ?
If a church does not worship in Spirit and recognize the Holy Spirit they need to close the doors.
A church without the presence of the Holy Spirit is not a church,
They are only worshiping the Pastor, and taking money, gratifying self.
Without the Holy Spirit there is no church at all period !!!

Memorial Day Note

As we encounter another Memorial Day and many families will have time off work,
vacationing, having a great time as families all together.

Yet it all brings me to the point of this message.

Memorial Day has such a different meaning to many American families,many memories of our family members that we will never see again because they made a choice to take the stand to fight for Americas Freedom that allows our families to vacation and have fun without the fear of being hurt or killed by acts of war and terror.

We here at UNASHAMED STREET MINISTRY want to say thank you to each and every man, and woman that choose to serve our great country.

These warriors did not have to be drafted into the service, they each make a moral choice to serve the greatest country in all the land.

So from us here at Unashamed Street Ministry to every Soldier, past and present, we want to say thank you and GOD BLESS EACH OF YOU !!!!

CALLED TO HELP PEOPLE IN NEED

We all have a calling, yet the vast majority of people continue to live their comfortable lives.
Hiding in the shadows of everything already going on in their daily lives.

If we really read the scriptures and allow them to examine us we will find that the call to follow Jesus Crushes the American Dream.

Its not about how much we can collect and save, rather how much we can give away to the needy.

Only when we begin to give to others will we begin to see the world through the eyes of Jesus.
Not to mention the inter feelings of greatness and satisfaction that comes from knowing that you gave to help someone in need.

Gods Spirit is on me; he's chosen me to preach the Message of good news to the poor,

Sent me to announce pardon to prisoners and recovery of sight to the blind,

To set the burdened and battered free, to announce, "This is God's year to act.

God needs people just like you and me, people that are willing to be used to bring peace,and comfort to others when they have thought God had abandoned them.
We need to ENCOURAGE others,
COMFORT and LOVE others just as Jesus loves us.

Are you willing to step outside your comfort zone and remove all fear to do your part as the body of Christ?
To bring HOPE to people everywhere, to bring ENCOURAGEMENT to people everywhere, to show LOVE to the world just as Jesus commands?

LET GOD BE GOD

Have you ever been at a point where you feel like God just is not moving in your life?

I can admit that yes I have been there.

We must realize that God is always at work weather we see it or not.
So many times we need to just get out of the way, and LET GOD BE GOD !!!!

We must realize that God wants and needs for us to give Him control, yes we need to Surrender our will to Him.
We must Surrender all of ourselves to Him, Allow Him to get into the drivers seat.

The only problem then is that we must remain in complete surrender, without trying to snatch back our will from Him.

God wants to use everyone on this earth, yes everyone on this earth has a calling.
But there is a difference between the calling and the sending.

We are all called but we need to wait to be sent, how can you take off and not even know what it is that God is wanting you to do??

Lets just wait patiently to hear from God, be ready to do whatever it is.
Continue to be obedient, and submissive, but most of all just "LET GOD BE GOD"

WHO GOD IS

Searching scripture daily and deeply I am still lost when it comes to a perfect explanation of who God truly is.
We know that He is Love, Peace, Joy, Holy, and we could go on for days with words that help to explain who He is.

I ran across alot of great verses and would like to share just a piece with you that only help us wrap our minds around Who God Is.

Isaiah 40:12 (KJV)
"Who hath measured the waters in the hollow of His hand, and meted out heaven with the span, and comprehended the dust of the earth in a measure, and weighed the mountains in scales, and the hills in a balance.
Wow, tear that verse apart slowly, and try to comprehend just how Big our God is.

Isaiah 40:17-18 (KJV)
"All nations before Him are as nothing; and they are counted to Him less than nothing, and vanity".
"To whom then will you liken God ? or what likeness will ye compare unto Him?"

Isaiah 40:22 (KJV)
"It is He that sitteth upon the circle of the earth, and the inhabitants thereof are as grasshoppers;
that stretcheth out the heavens as a curtain, and spreadeth them out as a tent to dwell in.
Wow again, Sitteth-Stretcheth-Spreadeth, break it down and diesect this verse too. Amazing huh.........

Isaiah 40:28 (KJV)
"Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the Lord, the creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary?
there is no searching of His understanding."
Yes He is the Creator of the earth, how did He do that? He just spoke it. Again, Amazing................

Seeing The World Through The Eyes Of Jesus

Matthew 9:12-13 (NASB)
"It is not those who are healthy who need a physician, but those who are sick.
But go and learn what this means: 'I desire compassion, and not sacrifice, for I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners".

We see the real love of Jesus throughout the 9th chapter of Matthew.

From the time Jesus gets off the boat we see Him healing a paralytic, not only heals him but forgives his sins.

Then Jesus decides to have lunch with a bunch of sinners, and, tax collectors.

This is where He meets Matthew and asks him to be his disciple. The Pharisees are enraged !!
The Pharisees thought they were doing everything right by obeying every jot and tittle of the law.
But they had missed the point completely,
It wasnt their sacrifice Jesus was concerned with.

Jesus only cared about how compassionate they were with their neighbor

We see as we intersect the above verse that Jesus was defining His mission,
He had come to earth to help sinners, people who are struggling, people who are separated from God,
people living in extreme poverty, the sick, and, the needy.


Now I ask are you trying hard as were the Pharisees to uphold the law ?
Or are you looking at the world with such Compassion as was Jesus ?

Look on down to verse 36,
Again we see Jesus seeing the people He felt Compassion.

We that call ourselves Christians, Followers of Jesus,
or Disciples must first and foremost see the world around us just as Jesus did, "WITH COMPASSION"

Disciple or Comfortably Numb ?

Isaiah 6:8
Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying,
whom shall I send, and who will go for us?
Then I said, here am I; send me.

Have you heard the voice of God asking you to do His work, or are you numb to His calling and happy with your American Dream ?

Romans 10:14 (KJV)
How then shall they call upon Him in whom they have not believed?
and how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard ?
and how shall they hear without a preacher ?

In this verse, Paul is showing us that we as Believers have a job to do.............
I like to put this verse in reverse action, lets take a look at it in reverse o.k. ??

First of all we need someone to preach or share the word,
then when then word is shared or preached it is heard,
after it is heard, it can be Believed,and,last
after it is Believed, people are saved.

Are you numb to Gods commands to share the gospel or are you willing to be someone who will listen and take His commands seriously ??

Only when we take His word seriously will we take action and share the Good News with all creatures as we see here in this next verse.

Mark 16:15 (KJV)
 And Jesus said unto them, Go ye into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.





Notice, Jesus never said that you need ant degree or any schooling at all in order to go preach the Gospel to every creature.

So many times we get comfortable in our lifestyles at home that we are actually Numb
to our true calling as Gods helpers.

I challenge you today to ask God to use you wherever and however He needs you.
Without any hesitation you must be willing to Submit to Him and say,
Yes God, here I am, USE ME !!!!!!
